Hello and welcome to My British Homepage (MBH). This site is designed to help people in the UK who may or may not be computer experts but who love to use the internet to access their email, to look up all types of information, to research holidays or trips and to do a bit of shopping online.  Incidentally, it is available wherever you are in the world, on any computer, so you can always have a familiar Home Page at the click of a mouse, with your favourite websites just one more easy click away.  All you need to do is check whether your favourites are already included and if not, advise us of them and, provided they are acceptable! and relatively popular, we will do the rest.  There are email links at the bottom of most pages just for this purpose.

When we open up our web browser we arrive at our home page.  This has usually been set by the provider of our internet access or our email provider or set by us as  Google (or some other search engine)  OK that's fine but once we've checked our email or completed our search what then? Any other sites we use often, such as live radio or online banking, we have to access through our favourites or bookmark tab which is not the most efficient way - especially when away from your home computer.

My British Homepage makes life easy because virtually everything we need is only 2 clicks away. For example, if we want to check on our bank statement, we simply move the mouse to ' Finance' at the top of the page on the drop down menu click 'Bank Log-In Pages and then on our bank name and 'Presto!' we are at our account log in page.

If we want to go shopping MBH has been organised in two ways. Move the mouse to 'Shop' at the top of the page. If we know which store we want then we can click 'Retailers A-Z' and go directly to our store's online shopping page.  Alternatively if we know what we want; for example, to send some flowers to a friend,  we can click 'Retailers by Type' and look at the list of florists. We can do a bit of comparison shopping before we buy. It's as easy as that!  By the way there are some stores and sites here that you would never have thought to look at or maybe didn't even know existed!

Please try it out and if you find it useful make it your homepage  (that is the way to get the best out of MBH). So every time you load your web browser, MBH will be there waiting to take you quickly and easily to where you want to be on the internet.

We'd appreciate it if you would tell a friend about us if you like the site.  The more users we have the better.  They can suggest their favourite sites to us and so the range of links will improve even more.

MBH is completely free. There are no catches. All we try to do is pay the bills by doing a little bit of discreet advertising, so please feel free to click on any one of the ads. (or let us know if you find them too imposing).
